About Me
I am story teller. For as long as I can remember I've loved telling stories, whether they were about real events or figments of my imagination. Stories can be told in all sorts of ways: fictional heroes and fantastical plots find their voices in novels and television and films, and the stories that inspire those works are told and spread through copy in media releases, advertising campaigns, social media, and more.
As I grew up, I discovered that I wanted to tell stories no matter what they might be. I want to make people smile with my writing, whether it's a more serious piece of journalism regarding the misunderstanding of the special needs community or a fluff piece about the best doggos in the neighborhood. I want to bring people together through my stories, creating a connection through words that--even if it only lasts a moment--means something to those reading them.
I graduated from Florida State University in May 2018 as a Media/Communication Studies Major with two minors in English and Film Studies respectively. Since graduating, my employment positions have led me into managerial roles; my first job out of school was an Account Coordinator position at a local marketing agency where I ran eight client accounts and managed all of their client facing marketing materials. Since 2019, I have been a Project Manager in the construction industry, working in the family business with my father and overseeing more than twenty projects at one time. It has taught me so much about teamwork, sticking to deadlines, and solving problems that seem unsolvable. However, I am now ready to get back into a career that inspires my creativity and aligns more with my interests in communications and writing.
